Summer Camp

Troop 34 will be attending Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton Georgia from July 7 to 15, 2018. The Camp is approximately 680 miles north of here. We will leave on Saturday Am July 7 and arrive at Camp on Sunday July 8. We will be at Camp from Sunday early Afternoon through Saturday Am July 14. We will leave Camp to head for Cape Coral arriving sometime on Sunday July 15. There will be 2 Overnight Stays going up and back. The Cost of the Camp is $280 and there will be additional Costs for going to and from Camp including Camping and Meals on Road and Fuel based on people attending and Vehicles Used. There may also be additional Costs for some Merit Badges and if Scouts decide to go Whitewater Rafting, that is also extra. Because of planning the rest of the Trip out and limited availability of Classes, the Deadline to sign up is Tuesday May 15 at 9:00 Pm. If you are interested, a Deposit of $100 is required at this point to Register for Classes and you can contact Brian Weller for additional info and questions about Classes or Camp.

Caverns Trip May 26- 28

On Saturday Am May 26 through Monday Evening May 28, 2018, Troop 34 will be having a Troop Campout. We will be traveling to Northern Florida to tour the Underground Caverns at Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna Florida. The Tour will be on Sunday. We have 2 options for Camping- 3 Rivers State Park which has a Youth Area and is about 25 miles from the Caverns and Spanish Trail Scout Reservation which is a Scout Camp about 1 hour away. We will spend 2 nights at the Camping spot. The Cost of the Trip will include Food for the Campout and Tour of the Caverns and Camping and Fuel Costs.
Scouts Attending: Joaquin Sibug, Hunter Ringland, Joe Stross, Anthony Stross, Joey Esposito, Jacob Morrissette
Adults Attending: Corrinne Sibug, Kurt Esposito, Brian Weller

Summer Camp July 7 - 15

Summer Camp at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton Georgia. If you are interested in attending, please see Mr Weller as Class Registration has begun already. If that week does not work or you want to stay closer to home, you can go to Camp Lanoche as a Provisional Scout during any of the 6 weeks the Camp operates. Mr Esposito will be the Scoutmaster during the 6 weeks at Camp. If interested, please see him for details. 

May 5 Belk Fundraiser

Troop 34 has been picked by Belk in Cape Coral to particate in their charity sale. On Saturday May 5th from 6 am to 1 pm, we are selling tickets to a private ticketed event.

OA Chapter meeting of March

 Due to the first Thursday of the month overlapping with another event the new meeting will take place on March 9 at Headpinz at 14513 Global Pkwy in Ft. Myers at 6:30 PM.
If you want to know upcoming OA events come to the chapter meeting.

Cub O Ree 3/9-11/2018

Friday Evening March 9 through Sunday Am March 11, 2018, the Southwest Florida Council will be hosting Cub O Ree which is for all Cub Scout Packs in the Council to attend. This is at Camp Flying Eagle in Bradenton. Mr. Jason Wolfe is in charge of the Event and is looking for Boy Scouts and Adult Leaders who would like to Staff the Event. The event is $15 and includes a food, patch, and shirt.
Positions: Wet N Wild Water Slide and the Ecology Area and the Scoutcraft Area and 4 People to help in the Dining Area. Also they will need help hauling gear.
